<div><div><p>My research and supervision interests are the modern history of
evanglical and charismatic Christianities in local, national and transnational contexts.
I have been involved in research projects funded by Horizon 2020; Arts and
Humanities Research Council; Santander Universities; and The Historical Society of
the Episcopal Church.</p><p>I am currently writing a monograph for Oxford University
Press, to be published in 2021, entitled: Age of the Spirit: a global history
of charismatic renewal, 1945-1980. Other research and supervision interests are:</p><ul><li>The
renegotation of religious and secular places and spaces in post-1945 Britain</li><li>Twentieth
century evangelicalisms;</li><li>Black Christianity in post-1945 Britain;</li><li>Protestant
anti-Catholicism in the 19th/20th century.</li></ul><p>Previous and existing PhD supervision
topics include:</p><p>Philanthropy and Secularisation: the funding of Anglican religious
voluntary organisations, 1856 to 1914</p><p>"Bash camp" and the leadership

<p>I have been a lecturer in Religious Studies at the Open University since 2012.
My teaching and research expertise is modern religious history. I am currently an
academic participant on two work packages for the Horizon 2020 project'Religions
Toleration and Peace (<a href="http://retopea.eu/s/start/page/home" rel="nofollow">http://retopea.eu/s/start/page/home</a>)'. I
was previously co-investigator for the AHRC-funded and Times
Higher Education award-nominated public engagement project'Building on History:
Religion in London' between 2012 and 2014. I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical
Society, and committee member for the Religious Archives Group. I
co-convene the Modern Religious History seminar at the Institute of Historical Research. I
am a member of the Ecclesiastical History Society and the American Society of Church
