Sardar’s research interests are in the area of corporate governance and its association
with firm performance. More specifically, he is interested in examining the impact
of compliance with corporate governance codes on firm performance. Sardar is also
interested in examining the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms and
risk. He also studies the association between corporate governance mechanisms and
the survival of firms during difficult economic times. |

Sardar joined The Open University Business School as a research student in 2008. After
completing his PhD, Sardar started as a Lecturer in Accounting in 2013. Before joining
the Open University, Sardar also worked as a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial
Management at the University of Buckingham. |
