biography |
<p>I am a PhD candidate at the<a href="http://www.open.ac.uk/science/physical-science/">Open
University</a>, UK and<a href="http://www.falw.vu.nl/en/" rel="nofollow">Vrije Universiteit</a>,
The Netherlands. My work focuses on understanding the volatile budget of the lunar
interior. I perform high temperature experiments at VU, Amsterdam using a Bristol-type
end loaded piston cylinder. Here, I synthesis apatite under lunar conditions to quantify
the partitioning behaviour of volatiles (F, Cl, OH) into apatite. I measure these
experimental charges using the NanoSIMS 50L at the Open University. In addition to
this work, I am measuring high-precision Cl isotopes in Apollo 14 rocks to understand
the unique Cl isotopic signature seen on the Moon. At the Open University, I work
with <a href="http://www.open.ac.uk/planetarygeology/">Dr Mahesh Anand</a>, <a
href="http://science-people.open.ac.uk/i.a.franchi">Dr Ian Franchi</a>, and <a
href="http://science-people.open.ac.uk/romain.tartese">Dr Romain Tart</a><a href="http://science-people.open.ac.uk/romain.tartese">è</a>se.
In Amsterdam, I work with<a href="http://www.falw.vu/~wvwest/" rel="nofollow">Prof.
Wim van Westrenen</a>. </p><p>Prior to my PhD, I gained my BSc Geological Sciences
and MSc Geochemistry from the<a href="http://www.environment.leeds.ac.uk/" rel="nofollow">University
of Leeds</a>, UK. I also held the position of Research Assistant at the<a href="http://www.see.leeds.ac.uk/research/essi/cohen-research-group/"
rel="nofollow">Cohen Research Group</a>, University of Leeds. </p><p> </p> |
