Within the HE sector, Alan has previously lectured at Leeds Metropolitan University, Oxford Brookes University (where he held a senior&nbsp;position within the Westminster Institute of Education), and most recently at the University of Reading where he was Director of Postgraduate Research Studies and Pathway Leader for all MA and doctoral leadership and management programmes in the Institute of Education.
